Kelly Moeggenborg (Kelly the Kitchen Kop, http://kellythekitchenkop.com/) – Kelly had a “food transformation” when she discovered the Weston A. Price Foundation in 2004 after a long-time love affair with convenience foods. She began passionately researching how to eat and live better, and on January 1st, 2008 the ‘politically incorrect’ Kelly the Kitchen Kop blog was born. She now enjoys helping others with the knowledge she has gained from her own family’s transition to Real Food. In addition to blogging, she also teaches an online class called, ‘Real Food for Rookies’ , and helps individuals become healthier through one-on-one phone or in-person consultations. Chris Masterjohn, PhD – is creator and maintainer of Cholesterol-And-Health.Com, a web site dedicated to extolling the benefits of traditional, nutrient-dense, cholesterol-rich foods and to elucidating the many fascinating roles that cholesterol plays within the body. Cholesterol-And-Health.Com is home to his blog, The Daily Lipid. Chris is a frequent contributor to Wise Traditions, the quarterly journal of the Weston A. Price Foundation, is a perennial speaker at the annual Wise Traditions conference, and writes a second blog on the foundation’s web site, Mother Nature Obeyed. Kaayla Daniel, PhD – is The Naughty Nutritionist™ because of her ability to outrageously and humorously debunk nutritional myths. In 2005, Dr. Daniel received the Weston A. Price Foundation’s Integrity in Science Award. Dr. Daniel’s book The Whole Soy Story: The Dark Side of America ‘s Favorite Health Food (New Trends, 2005) has been endorsed by leading health experts, including Drs. Russell Blaylock, Larry Dossey, Joseph Mercola, Kilmer McCully, Doris J. Rapp, Jonathan Wright and many others.
Wayne Feister, DO – a General Practice Physician from Rawson, Ohio–specializes in Osteopathic Manipulation to treat musculoskeletal conditions. Currently, as a Clinical Assistant Professor for The Ohio University College of Osteopathic Medicine, he directs their Toledo CORE (Centers for Osteopathic Research and Education) program and acts as the main faculty. During his first sixteen years of medical practice, Feister used vitamin and mineral nutrition to remedy disease, but, more recently, he encourages a traditional diet instead of commercial foods to improve health. As a committed member of the Weston A. Price Foundation, he has helped establish eight local chapters, where he is a regular speaker, sharing his knowledge of health, nutrition, and food.
Sarah Pope, MGA – is an Honors graduate in Economics from Furman University. She also holds a Masters Degree in Public Financial Management from the University of Pennsylvania. Sarah worked for over 10 years in the field of Information Technology designing Financial Systems for corporate and governmental clients. Sarah and her husband Richard are currently raising 3 young children and she has been the Weston A. Price Chapter Leader for Tampa/St. Pete, FL since 2002. In addition to her Chapter Leader duties, Sarah writes The Healthy Home Economist blog and is recording secretary on the WAPF board of directors.
Kathryn Pirtle – is a world-class clarinetist whose career nearly ended because of performance difficulties caused by celiac disease, acid reflux, chronic inflammation and other health problems. Performance without Pain, written with Sally Fallon, President of the Weston A. Price Foundation and John Turner, DC tells the story of her trials and recovery. Since 2004, she has given more than 85 workshops around the country with Dr. John Turner and appeared on numerous radio and television shows. In 2010, she testified in Washington, DC against the new USDA Dietary Guidelines. In 2012 she was a speaker at the Wise Traditions Conference in London, England. She has been published in the Autism File Global, Advance Magazine (a publication for Physical Therapy), Wise Traditions, International Musician, the Clarinet and writes a blog on her website www.performancewithoutpain.com about issues relating to building health with nutrient-dense foods. She has published an e-book called Acid Reflux, A National Epidemic and Precursor to Chronic Illness—Achieving Lasting Healing with Nutrient-Dense Foods.
David Brownstein, MD – is a Board-Certified family physician who utilizes the best of conventional and alternative therapies. He is the Medical Director for the Center for Holistic Medicine in West Bloomfield, Michigan. He is a graduate of the University of Michigan and Wayne State University School of Medicine. Dr. Brownstein is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians and the American College for the Advancement in Medicine.
